I dunno I haven't had much energy to post anything lately. Plus my fingers have these evil cuts on them making anything typing hurt like hell. In fact using pens/pencils and pretty much everything I do at work hurts.
Other than I decided to escape reality using the 14 day trial of EVE. I haven't looked at this game since beta and really more correctly alpha testing. Sad how I alpha testing a game I never played. Anyhow I've been playing that...too much...
I should do more interesting or constructive stuff but I lack motivation right now.
I'm not sure what else to say right now.,,other than ouch my fingers hurt...

States I've Visited

create your own visited states map
or check out these Google Hacks.
Ok, I updated the map and add New Hampshire and Maryland. Apparently, I've been more places than I thought. I moved around of course because of being an army brat, but my family visits random old friends all over the country. For example Arizona was an Air Force Captain and his wife. His wife was old friend of my moms.

Yes, I managed to have my wife's atm card dropped out my pocket while I mowed the lawn in the dark of night (too hot when the sun is up) and it fell under the mower and got shredded... I can be silly some days.
I'm slowly outlining the book I've been thinking about. I think I've mapped out 4 chapters so far, and now I just really want to get those chapters down in a draft before I map anything else out, but I dunno. Names were never my cup of tea and I've been recycled everything I ever wrote into this work (mainly themes I've been dealing with all my life really). Main reason I really want to write is just a good way of getting out themes I think are worth talking about on paper. Try now I'm playing another with an world of my own design where two polar-opposite races are pulled in every direction by their own by others. One side is moral and strictly conversative while the other is on the point of anarchy. Each without knowing it is having their strings pulled by others gods or races. Storyline being centered around a group of individuals from each side coming together by chance, destiny, and fate. They are the key players and will grow and develop until the final conclusion of the world is found. What that is, I'm not even sure... I just hope it will actually make sense in the end. With the setting I think I should be able to play around with a lot of political and social issues. I dunno it seems like a good escape from boredom once and a while.
Anyhow, I'm going to think more on the subject...

Another Day.... Another Hair Day
Jun. 12th, 2006 | 10:26 pm
So my hair looks like shit right now because I was an idiot and thought I can trim my hair that I can't see. Anyhow my back side of my hair is shaved down to nothing right now, but I don't plan on keeping it that way and it will slowly grow out back to a normal length. That doesn't stop manager and the like from commenting about it. I try to explain to them that it is only until it can grow back. I didn't mean for it to look like shit and I don't plan on keeping looking like shit. Sorry but some days you have to have bad hair for a while to correct stupidity.
Anyhow, bad hair day for me, another day for my work. The usually happened quite often...I watch some lady blow up about a stamp and all of sudden calm down when we redid the stamp in 5 minutes. Some people are so bi-polar they don't even know it, or just scammers out for the free deal... either way always annoying. I had some old lady come to my counter TWICE and call to me after only standing their a second. Bitches need to watch five seconds before I am tempt to lose my job.... I'm not a fucking slave for your amusement...this bitch thought I was her black slave...

I can install stuff!!!!

With no good tools like a sledge hammer I installed our new mailbox. It only took forever since I had to dig a big hole instead of just sledge hammering the post into the ground. I finally got the hole deeper enough to drive the stake in and hammer it with a hammer until it got to where it need to be. The rest of the crap was easy. I stuck the bracers on the bottom and screwed them together. Then the post slide right on and two mounting bolts and the mailbox (wonderful plastic) snapped right on... If I had a sledge hammer this whole thing would have took a lot less time, but oh well I did it. The mailbox looks nice, but not a prefect right angle with the road...but it's close enough for the mailman to throw the mail in without any problems.
I did a quick install of the showerhead to test it, and it's works fine, just need a wrench and I can install the right way instead of the ghetto way.
It's good to see Lilly is using the potty like a good girl. I would have posted this earlier, but everybody that knows me read's Jen's journal anyhow.
I think I going to attempt to write again...I haven't had a good idea in years to write about...I just can't seem to focus too well on something worth writing. I would be a much better way of spending time rather than just watch my skeletons in Diablo 2 beat the crap out everything while I sit around directing the mayhem. Sadly, I usually draw my inspiration from video games for my writing... My short stories on EVE Online were really good for the most part and my plotline for everything seems pretty good and moving. I enough had a good person to edit my work so it wasn't riddled with grammer errors. I never seem to focus too well on grammer at ALL in anything I write, but it usually doesn't matter because when it's something for school I always re-write it about 12 times, before I hand it in. After 5 to 6 college level course of english or english type literature classes I've probably wrote 20 to 25 different papers on crap. That's only a rough guess, but it could have been more. I know most people that FINISH college write anywhere from 50 to 100 papers, but by the time you've been in college for 2 years you are so filled with the proper way to write that you make a 12 page paper about a paperclip. Anyhow I will stop rammbling on and on about nothing...just hope to post something worthwhile as far as writing sooner or later.

Driving Adventures
May. 27th, 2006 | 01:58 pm
So for the past several weeks it seems I driving way to slow for cops. The route 4 transition to 95N to 295N requires me to drive in the farest left lane because I guess some civil engineer was on crack when it designed our highway system. Anyhow because of this I always seem to have people flashing their lights at me demand to me to drive faster than 15 to 20 miles over the speed limit.... I even had a stupid undercover cop flash it's cop lights just because I was going 65 mph in a 55 mph limit zone. I mean it's really stupid and annoying when I see cops not setting a good example by driving the speed limit. This is the second time a cop car decided to flash light at me to get me out of the way JUST for the sake of driving faster.
I usually never drive fast unless I'm really late for something. I dunno I guess I'm a slowpock most of the time....people can just deal with it...

Again Old People Make Me Throw Hand Generades in My Head
Mar. 27th, 2006 | 06:18 pm

blank
I forgot to write about this eariler last week, but this old women can up to my copy center and was like I would like copies of this pictures and I want them enlarged or sized for framing. That's all see really said and I took the photos. One was a photo from March of the Penguins, another a painting from Vincent VanGo (however you spell his last name, I was never really into art), and some picture of the Virgin Mary with baby Jesus in her arms. I made the copies to fit around a 8x10 frame with some room the crop them and cut them to that size. I hand her the copies and she then tells me, make the photo with a white border, since all of them came from newspaper clippings the shadows of the newspaper show on the copies and she now wanted me to add captions to each photo. I look at her strange because I was wondering when she was going to let me know that I need to add captions and why the fuck she hadn't told me before hand. So I shurgged and scanned the newspaper clippings, cropped them so it's was just the picture and then placed them and add the captions she wanted. This took about 5 minutes which feels like 15 minutes when you start seeing customers line up at the ship center and the other side of the counter. So I make the copies beautiful and prefect as always and while doing this I talking to another customer about printing resumes. Apparantly his disk was corrupt because it was blank and I was telling him this as the old lady is yelling at me to come over. So I walk over and she ask me can this be made on thicker paper and how much would that cost. I tell her the price and she comments about my 39 cent color copy sign and I explain to her that it's only for standard color copies like she has right now and that the thicker paper color copies would not be at that price. So she stands there with I can only guess her daugther or caretaker and discussing it and final says they are happy and I cash them out.
I can only explain her attitude towards me as she definitely never left her era. She came from the era when shop keepers wait on you hand and foot and such. I mean I could have really been an ass and just told her no, but I kept from losing my temper (thank god I had my meds that day) and made her day, I think...she never thank me.
Anyhow, that was another interesting old person encounter...

Live just seem to tick on and on and nothing really interesting seems to be happening. Well aside those wonderful car woes. My wife's journal pretty much covered that.
At least for the most part work is ok right now aside having no staff to work with. I swear I have some of most demanding employees, always need this off and can only work this and that. Most people including my wife say just fire them all and rehire, but the only problem being is nobody wants to work for $8 an hour that is worth my time. I have to look through the applications next week to see if any candidates might exist, but I don't have my hopes up. Business is growing well though. I'm already over 31% growth from last year and have been growing on average 20% every year since I've been there. I hope this year will be my crowning year where I really show just how far I have taken my little copy center. After this year I think I will have proven my value enough to hopefully get the long await promotion I really need. At a starting rate of a sales manager or copy center manger, I will probably be on a level of income that should be able to pay all the past bills, finish school, and finally buy a damn fucking house before they go up anymore in value.
Then maybe I will feel like a achieved something. I don't know anymore, but I know I got to do something.

Sigh...My poor grandmother has two dead husbands now...

My grandmother's second husband died today... She had to bury her first husband and now she has to bury another one, yet she is taking it really well considering the situation. My dad is leaving tomorrow for Indiana after he gets out of work, and my mom is wicked pissed about it. My mom is going through radiation treatments and can't leave because of that. My dad has to leave because it's where he needs to be, but my mom just can't understand that. By the way, my mom had an operation for breast cancer and they were able to get all of it, but they are making her go through radiation now just to make sure it doesn't reappear.
Anyhow, it's hard, tragic, and everything else in the book. I just need to make sure to send a sympathy card as soon as possible.

Days and days at work

I swear I really try to not hold a grudges against elderly men and women. Some days they can be very nice and a lot of are extremely nice to me. Others are just weird or mean, one of the other. A few days ago an elderly women wanted a book copied and spiral bound. Well she first asked for a couple of copies and it wasn't going to be done in 30 seconds because it was bound book meaning I had to hand place each of the 32 pages in it. So I ask when do you need this by and of course "RIGHT NOW!" I couldn't say it's really out of the ordinary but she looked at me like she was shock I could expect her to say something else. Well luckily since I had no other jobs I didn't mind....much...
Firstly, she only needed one book, but she said two (this can be explained because she probably meant one and said two because of her age). Secondary, she expected right there service and watched me do it (which is probably understandable). She in all, wasn't that bad but mildly annoying...
I've had an elderly man sitting at the counter for probably less than 30 seconds and he insisted on asking me did you see me and kept repeating himself until I said no...3 times...apparently he didn't hear me. Then he ask me where the envelopes were. Apparently he's blind as well as deaf because he didn't see the huge sign that said ENVELOPES. He had an attitude like I should have been with him in less than second or I'm not doing my job.
So it's always different....yesterday some women was so pissed at me because I told her that I couldn't ship anything UPS that has brown kraft paper wrapped around it. Her response was, "Your kidding me!" At that point you always do this, TAKE A BREATH TO AVOID saying that will get your fired. Then she continues, "so how am I going to ship this?" I just tell her well if there was a printer box underneath that she just needed to unwrap the paper and ship it in the box. She didn't even begin to understand me and told me, "ok now I have to bring this back to my car (pause for a second) EVEN THOUGH IT POURING RAIN..." I took another deep breath to prevent yelling something like well please hold on while to tell God to make it stop raining so your day can be just a little brighter and I will personally see to delivering her package in a few seconds because after all me and God are like that since I'm the God of the Printing World. Yeah that's pretty stupid but it still would have got me fired just the same as saying my typical mental response of fuck off...
I've been having a fun few days indeed....my job isn't fun usually, but ever now and again it has it's up days....

Better late than never, the other day I was flipping channels and saw Bush on a few new channels giving a speech of tax cuts. I always find it funny how the guy can actually said basically spending tax dollars on spending that is optional has been cut back for all the years of his presidency. He seems to think he's done a good job keeping the our tax spending under control...
Millions to billions of dollars have been spend on this war that apparantly was necessary. Though everybody knows this. And everybody know the tax dollars being spend on this will yield us no gains what so ever aside a bigger and bigger national debt. I mean back in 1979 when we spend 947 million dollars in one year aiding the Afghans fight the Russian it was at least money well spent. We cost the Russians in losses something in the neighborhood of 12 to 13 BILLION dollars in material, equipment, and manpower. Basically, this is one of the major factors why we won the Cold War because we literally bankrupted them.
Anyhow, nothing much else, just found that funny...

Bowling Night
Jan. 8th, 2006 | 11:12 pm

So tonight was bowling night for work. I bowled well, but not super good. I had a few 150s games and my highest game was 165. Towards the end I just couldn't really control the ball anymore and it was going slightly off from the pocket shot I had been doing better well at. I think I bowled 5 games or something like that. My arm is going to feel like jello tomorrow morning. It was a very competitive night like it normally is because Rich our general manager wasn't there. He had to work on some add-on rooms he added to his house. When he is done he will have 6 freaking (ha I fixed it) bedrooms...
The night went ok I guess aside some cashier didn't realize I was in charge of copy center. Apparently all the high school kids want to be in copy center because they hate sitting around doing nothing at service desk. However, I'm not allowing any of them into the copy center unless they have experience or can work more than 2 days a week. I really don't even want to bother with high school kids because if they work more than 2 day a week in the copy center it's almost guaranteed they will fail some class. I do need some more people sooner or later. I hope that this new schedule of me being more towards 9 - 5pm will help my second shifters more.
Anyhow it should be interesting what happens for this new year at work because for about the 90th million time I will have to crave out a new crew to be a copy center staff.
